He says that five years is too long a tenure. He adds that the right to recall is not a weapon against the politicians; it is an insurance policy for democracy.
There are provisions to impeach the President and judges, so why can’t we have one to impeach the elected candidates, he asks.
He gives examples from different countries where elected candidates were de-elected after they failed to do their duty in the right way.
