GBA Chief directs removal of dangerous trees ahead of monsoon

Chief Commissioner of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) M. Maheshwar Rao on Thursday instructed Forest Department authorities to identify hazardous trees across the five city corporations and take swift action to remove them. This, he said, is to prevent accidents and ensure public safety ahead of the monsoon.

With the monsoon approaching, the Traffic Police Department has submitted a list of identified waterlogging points in the city. Mr. Rao directed officials to conduct inspections at these locations and implement preventive measures to avoid water stagnation on roads. He also highlighted the need to ensure proper drainage arrangements on flyovers along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) stretch from Silk Board Junction to K.R. Puram.
