Actor Nitin Rao, who has been steadily carving a space for himself across films and digital platforms, is gearing up for the release of O’Romeo, one of his most significant projects to date. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles and is scheduled to release in theatres on February 13, 2026.

Reflecting on his time on set, the actor spoke about the overall environment that Shahid brings to his work. “Working with Shahid Kapoor is inspiring in itself. His focus, discipline, and generosity as a co-actor naturally push everyone around him to be more present and truthful in their performances,” Nitin shared, adding that simply being around that energy became a learning experience for him.

While Nitin has chosen to stay guarded about the specifics of his role, he confirmed that his character plays an important part in the narrative. “My character plays an important role in shaping the overall narrative of O’Romeo and significantly influences the emotional journey of Triptii’s character. However, since the film hasn’t released yet, I’d like to keep those details under wraps,” he said.

Equally significant for Nitin was how the role came to him. The actor revealed that he was selected through a straightforward audition process, without any prior association influencing the casting decision. “The project came to me through a self-tape audition called for by Mukesh Chhabra’s casting team, and I was selected purely on the strength of the audition, which made the experience very special,” he added.

Nitin Rao has previously been part of projects such as Samrat Prithviraj, Darbar, Bajao, and Netflix’s Taskaree and the recently released Space Gen: Chandrayaan. Over the years, he has built a diverse body of work across different formats, gradually expanding his presence in the industry.

Looking ahead, O’Romeo are among his upcoming projects, both of which mark important steps in his career. Rather than chasing quick visibility, Nitin appears focused on roles that allow him to grow as a performer.
