Following the fine response to ‘Matrubhumi’, the makers unveiled the much-awaited Valentine’s Day special romantic track, ‘Main Hoon’. Featuring Salman Khan alongside Chitrangda Singh, the song tenderly captures the emotional core of the film and adds a soulful layer to its narrative. While the song portrays the love angle of a soldier, real-life hero Colonel Sarabjit Singh (Retd) offers a heartfelt reflection of love in a soldier’s life, as Salman Khan Films pays tribute to retired veteran and his family.

Having served in the Indian Army from 1977 to 2005 in the 9th Unit, Bihar Regiment, Colonel Sarabjit Singh is indeed a brave Army officer who led operations such as Operation Rakshak, Operation Rhino, Operation Vijay, and Operation Pawan.

In the video, the two spoke about the life of a soldier’s wife and how she played a pivotal role in his journey. From staying apart for long periods, to teaching his wife how to handle a pistol in case of any untoward incident, to missing home-cooked Kadhi Chawal and Parathas, and cherishing family photographs as his biggest support system, Singh’s story beautifully reflects the strong bond of love between a soldier and his wife. Moreover, beyond being a brave Army couple, they are also proud parents of Miss India winner Hasleen Kaur.

As we witnessed the story of Colonel Sarabjit Singh (Retd) and his better half, Mrs. Ikwinder Singh, it perfectly complements the fervor of the ‘Main Hoon’ song from Battle of Galwan. The song portrays the contrast in a soldier’s family life, the warmth of happy days spent at home, followed by the quiet ache of separation when duty calls.

Battle of Galwan is produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, with Apoorva Lakhia at the helm as director. The film aims to portray a portrayal of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience and it also starring Chitrangada Singh in a pivotal role.
