The left-hander took 288 balls to achieve the feat, and his innings included 25 fours and two sixes. His previous best of 193 came in the seven-wicket win over Punjab in the 2023-24 season.
After being asked to bat, Karnataka lost opener Mayank Agarwal early. However, the 278-run partnership between opener KL Rahul and Padikkal put Karnataka in a dominating position. Rahul fell for 141 at the hands of Aditya Rawat, who held on to a caught-and-bowled opportunity.
