The package includes an 8-year battery warranty, a 3+5-year vehicle warranty, a complimentary home charger with installation valued at ₹50,000, and one year of complimentary charging. Built on the dedicated HEARTECT-e EV platform, the e Vitara will be offered with two Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery options — 49kWh and 61kWh.
It uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 105.8kW with the smaller battery and 128kW with the larger battery, with a peak torque of 192.5Nm in both versions.
The claimed driving range is up to 543km for the 61kWh variant and 440km for the 49kWh variant. The vehicle has been tested in temperatures ranging from −30°C to 60°C.
Safety, features and charging ecosystem
The e Vitara has received a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, scoring 31.49 out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 43.00 out of 49 for child occupant protection.
Safety equipment includes seven airbags, including a driver-side knee airbag, electronic stability control, all-disc brakes, an electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring system and Level 2 ADAS.
Feature highlights include a digital cockpit with a 10.1-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch multi-information display, ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, sliding and reclining rear seats with a 40:20:40 split, a fixed-glass sunroof and an Infinity by Harman audio system.
Exterior elements include matrix LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps and 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels.
Charging infra and rivals
To support EV adoption, Maruti Suzuki has introduced a charging network under its ‘e for me’ platform, with over 2,000 charging points across more than 1,100 cities and partnerships with 13 charge point operators.
The company plans to enable over 1 lakh public charging points by 2030 and says it has invested nearly ₹250 crore in charging infrastructure ahead of the launch.
The e Vitara will compete in the mid-size SUV segment with models such as the Mahindra BE 6, Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Tata Curvv.ev, MG ZS EV and VinFast VF6.
