Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala received warm birthday wishes from industry colleagues, including directors Vishal Bhardwaj and Nitesh Tiwari, who took to social media to share personal messages marking the occasion. The birthday coincides with a significant phase for his banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, which is celebrating 75 years in Indian cinema.

O’Romeo, released on February 13, 2026 over the Valentine’s Day weekend, features Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in lead roles. Set in the underworld of 1990s Mumbai, the stylised action-thriller draws inspiration from the story of gangster Hussain Ustara and Sapna Didi. The ensemble cast includes Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Disha Patani.

Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari shared a more detailed memory from his collaboration with Nadiadwala on Chhichhore. The director recalled screening the first cut of the film for the producer and waiting anxiously outside the edit room. According to Tiwari, Nadiadwala did not step out for nearly 10 minutes after the screening ended. When he finally emerged, he hugged the director and revealed that he had been trying to compose himself after being emotionally moved by the film. Tiwari described it as one of the sweetest compliments he could receive from a producer and concluded his note by saying, “That’s Sajid sir for you.”

Released on September 6, 2019, Chhichhore starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, and Prateik Babbar. The film explored themes of friendship, failure, and resilience through the story of college friends reconnecting during a family crisis.

As congratulatory messages poured in, the birthday also highlighted Nadiadwala’s longstanding collaborations across genres and generations in Hindi cinema.
