Munsey was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to abuse of cricket equipment or ground equipment during an international match. One demerit point has been added to his disciplinary record. It is his first offence in a 24-month period.
The incident occurred at the end of the 10th over of Scotland’s innings, when Munsey hurled his helmet onto the advertising boards while walking back to the dressing room following his dismissal.

Munsey admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by David Gilbert of the ICC International Panel of Match Referees. As a result, there was no need for a formal hearing.
The charge was levelled by on-field umpires K.N. Ananthapadmanabhan and Alex Wharf, third umpire Adrian Holdstock and fourth umpire Langton Rusere.
Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum fine of 50 per cent of a player’s match fee, and one or two demerit points.
