Kohrra 2 BTS: Sudip Sharma reveals why Season 2 goes beyond crime to explore families, silence and aftermath of violenceIn the BTS video, Sharma discusses how the new season moves deeper into the human consequences of crime rather than just the investigation itself. The creative team emphasised grounded storytelling and character-driven arcs, ensuring that every revelation carries emotional weight. Actors Mona Singh, Barun Sobti and Rannvijay Singha also share their perspectives on building layered performances that reflect the moral and emotional complexities of the narrative.

Season 2 shifts its setting to Dalerpura, a town where silence and suspicion intertwine. The story revolves around the murder of a woman, played by Pooja Bhamrrah, whose body is discovered in her brother’s barn. As the investigation unfolds, suspicion touches multiple characters, including her husband, portrayed by Rannvijay Singha, and her brother, played by Anurag Arora. Each new detail adds complexity, suggesting a tightly knit community with secrets to protect.

The show promises the return of Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi played by Barun Sobti. Now posted away from Jagrana, Garundi works under Sub-Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, played by Mona Singh. The BTS feature highlights the evolving dynamic between the two officers — Dhanwant’s measured, methodical style contrasts with Garundi’s instinctive approach, creating a partnership that anchors the season’s investigative tension.

Produced by A Film Squad Production in association with Act Three, Season 2 is backed by Saurabh Malhotra, Sudip Sharma, Manuj Mittra and Tina Tharwani. The new chapter also marks Sharma’s directorial debut, co-directing alongside Faisal Rahman. The series continues to be created and written by Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia and Sudip Sharma, maintaining its gritty and atmospheric tone.

Streaming exclusively on Netflix, Kohrra Season 2 reinforces its central idea — it takes a village to bury the truth, but only one fracture to expose it.
