Anil Kapoor and his incredible 40-year journey in cinema were celebrated in a grand fashion at the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Subedaar, held at a restobar by the beach in Mumbai. It was also graced by actors Radhikka Madan, Kushboo Sundar, Mona Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal and Faisal Malik, along with Nikhil Madhok, director and head of originals at Prime Video India, producer Vikram Malhotra and director Suresh Triveni.

Yes, there is action, but there are many layers as well. The cinematic brilliance of this film is what would appeal to the people; it’s something that a filmmaker like Suresh Triveni can achieve. He motivated us to do our best. If you like the bond, I share with Radhikka, it’s thanks to the film’s writing, scale and the setting.”

He added, “We shot in real locations in Lucknow, Agra and Kanpur. There’s no green screen at all. Everything is real, be it the action or the emotion.”

At this point, songs were played at high volume from a plot nearby, which caused some disturbance at the event. Anil Kapoor said, “Aapko iss awaaz se fark pad raha hai? Mujhe koi fark nahin pad raha hai. I shot the most difficult and crucial scene in the film amid thousands of bystanders. They were shouting ‘Jhakaas’ and ‘Aye jee o jee’! However, I switched off the noise. I focused on my scene. If you want something from the bottom of your heart, you’ll be able to achieve it.”

Subedaar releases on Amazon Prime Video on March 5. Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor was in a great mood and entertained the attendees. When the host announced the end of the event and that of the Q-and-A session with the media, he replied, “Why do you want to close the questions? Abhi toh sab garam ho rahe hai! Nowadays, it’s a fashion that the team of the film will indulge in Q and A and that the press shouldn’t be allowed to ask much. I told them, ‘Aisa kuch nahin karo. Don’t be scared. All of these people love us. Pucho re!’” As expected, there was a loud cheer from the mediapersons for this gesture.
