Actor Anud Singh Dhaka continues to carve a niche for himself by choosing diverse and layered roles. From Lafangey to Janhit Mein Jaari and Taj Mahal 1989, he has consistently shown a willingness to experiment with characters. Now, he is gearing up for the release of his new web series Psycho Saiyaan, where he plays the lead alongside Tejasswi Prakash and Ravi Kishan. The series premieres on February 25, and its recently released trailer is already drawing a positive response from viewers.

It keeps you on the edge. Even when you’re reading the script, you realise that you make certain assumptions about the story and it fails you in a beautiful way,”

For the actor, the appeal of the show lies in how all its elements come together seamlessly. “It’s so unpredictable, and it becomes bloody good. So as a show, everything stood out. The story, the character, the theme, the setting,”

What makes the project even more meaningful for him is its setting in Ujjain and Bhopal — cities that hold deep personal significance. “Bhopal is where I grew up. I did my schooling. I still have a house there. Bhopal is where I belong,”

Being able to tell a rooted story in a place that feels like home added emotional depth to the experience. “To get closer to home, to tell a story like this, which is so rooted, which is so honest, and yet so bizarre and so exceptionally unpredictable – that really stood out for me,”

With a gripping premise, a strong ensemble cast and Anud at the centre of the narrative, Psycho Saiyaan promises to be an intense watch. If the trailer’s reception is anything to go by, the series could well become one of the most talked-about releases of the season.
