As part of the observance, he wears the Ayyappa Mala daily and adopts a simplified lifestyle focused on discipline and restraint.

His routine during the Deeksha includes wearing black attire, walking barefoot, and adhering to a sattvic (pure vegetarian) diet. The actor also reportedly sleeps on the floor and avoids worldly indulgences, choosing instead to focus on devotion, peace and self-control. Despite hectic shooting schedules and promotional commitments, he has continued to observe these customs consistently each year.

The actor’s adherence to the ritual was recently visible during a family gathering hosted by Allu Arjun for his brother Allu Sirish ahead of pre-wedding celebrations. Photographs from the event showed Ram Charan dressed in black and wearing the mala, reflecting his ongoing Deeksha observance even while attending social functions. His appearance drew attention from fans who noted his commitment to tradition amid public engagements.

Over the years, Ram Charan’s observance of the Ayyappa Deeksha has often been cited as an example of balancing professional success with personal faith. On the professional front, Ram Charan is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Peddi, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor along with Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu, Jagapathi Babu, and others in supporting roles. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports drama is slated to release in cinemas on April 30, 2026.
