Actor Arjun Rampal recently revisited a travel memory involving his fiancée, Gabriella Demetriades, recalling a prank he played on her while shooting in Kashmir.

Arjun Rampal recalls pranking Gabriella Demetriades in Kashmir: “We’re going to be kidnapped”Speaking to Travel + Leisure India, Rampal shared an incident from a trip where Demetriades had accompanied him during a film schedule. “I came back to the room and told her we are going to be kidnapped and have to leave immediately, that there is a chopper waiting for us. It’s the fastest I’ve seen her pack,” he said, laughing.

He added, “That’s when I realised that she doesn’t do well under pressure,” prompting amused reactions from those around them.

Demetriades, meanwhile, has often spoken about how travelling across India with Rampal broadened her understanding of the country. Over time, travel for the couple has taken on a different meaning as their family has grown. They are parents to two sons, Arik and Ariv, and family trips now come with their own dynamics.

“Travelling with children means more luggage and less spontaneity, but they are as much fun if not more. Seeing something new through your children’s eyes is magical,” Gabriella shared. She added that their older son, Arik, is particularly enthusiastic about restaurants, while Ariv is gradually developing his own interests. Department stores, she noted with amusement, are among their children’s favourite stops during holidays.

Rampal, known for his dry humour, joked about flying with his sons. “I love travelling with my boys because they are so badly behaved on the plane. Absolute joy,” he said. Gabriella countered with a story of flying alone to South Africa with the two children, describing the experience as “traumatic.” She recalled fainting at the airport on one occasion, adding that their son Arik ran off, embarrassed, instead of staying by her side.

The couple’s candid anecdotes offer a glimpse into their life beyond film sets and fashion shoots — one that balances work, travel and parenting with equal parts humour and chaos.

On the professional front, Rampal will next be seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is slated for release on March 12.
