Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has voiced strong support for Dhurandhar amid ongoing online chatter labelling the film as “propaganda.” Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sinha penned a detailed note praising the film, its cast, and director Aditya Dhar.

Just happened to see the most talked about film an absolute masterpiece ‘Dhurandhar’. What ‘propaganda’ film??? A film is a film is a film. It’s a great film, gripping interesting & full of entertainment, made with sincerity. The sets too have been created beautifully in Bangkok, Thailand (depicting Pakistan) in a very realistic manner.”

He further applauded the technical aspects and performances, adding, “Technically brilliant, with great editing. The cinematographer deserves applause for his exquisite work. Kudos to the entire supremely talented cast & crew who have made this film a visual delight! Everyone stands out superbly. Written, co-produced, and directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is backed by Jyoti Deshpande, Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The spy action thriller features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan.

The first instalment of the planned duology, released on December 5, revolves around a high-stakes covert counter-terrorism operation, while the second part is set to delve deeper into Jaskirat’s journey and his eventual rise as a spy. The sequel is slated to release on March 19.
