Harmanpreet enjoyed a dream run as leader in 2025, steering India to its first senior women’s ICC title when the team lifted the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. India staged a memorable turnaround during the campaign, recovering from three consecutive defeats to produce a stunning run.
The year also saw India achieve notable success across bilateral competitions. The team won an ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka, which also featured South Africa, and defeated England in an ODI series before securing its first-ever bilateral T20I series victory in England. India capped the year with a dominant 5–0 sweep over Sri Lanka in a T20I series.
Harmanpreet led from the front with the bat as well. She was among five Indian players to score more than 600 ODI runs in 2025, registering four half-centuries, including a crucial 89 in the World Cup semifinal against Australia.
At the franchise level, Harmanpreet also guided Mumbai Indians Women to its second Women’s Premier League title in three seasons.
