What is Lok Adalat?
Lok Adalats are such courts where small cases are resolved through mutual agreement. In these courts, cases do not last long but are settled in a single hearing. In India, Lok Adalats are set up at the state and national levels for cases like traffic challans.

No court fees are charged in Lok Adalats. In this the case ends quickly and its decision is legally valid.

When will Lok Adalat token be available?
Delhi Lok Adalat tokens will start being available from 16 March 2026 (Monday). In such a situation, those who want to settle their pending challans without a long court case can take the token. However, it is worth keeping in mind that only those challans whose date is till 30 November 2025 can be settled in these courts.
How to generate token?
Anyone who wants to take the token can download the challan slip from the Delhi Traffic Police website from 10 am on March 16, 2026. Or can also take the token by scanning the given QR code. In these courts, only those challans will be settled who already have the token.
For this, 50,000 challans will be issued daily and the total limit will be up to 2 lakh challans.

Which documents to take with you?
People going to Lok Adalat on March 22 will have to take these documents with them, RC (Registration Certificate) of the vehicle, driving license, insurance paper, PUC certificate etc.
What is the difference between National Lok Adalat and State Lok Adalat?
National Lok Adalats are set up by NALSA at the national level, while State Lok Adalats are set up at the state level by State Legal Authorities.
