Rajasthan Royals’ Sam Curran set to miss IPL 2026 with injury: Report


Rajasthan Royals is likely to be dealt a major blow after a suspected groin injury could rule out all-rounder Sam Curran for the entire Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season.

According to a report from ESPNCricinfo, Curran, who was traded to Royals alongside Ravindra Jadeja from Chennai Super Kings, could miss the IPL.

The 27-year-old Englishman has been part of the IPL since 2019 and has previously played for Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings, winning the championship with the latter in 2021.

The 2022 T20 World Cup winner has 997 runs and 59 wickets in six IPL seasons across the two franchises.

Curran recently played in the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka with England reaching the semifinals.
