Apple is working on improving the display design in its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models. According to recent reports, this time the company may focus on downsizing the existing Dynamic Island instead of bringing a completely new design. This will give users a more clean and modern look.
According to leaks, the pill-shaped cutout will remain in Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which will have TrueDepth camera and Face ID system. However, its size can be made smaller than before. It is being said that this cutout can be reduced to approximately 13.49mm, which is much less than the current models’ approximately 20mm.
This change may be possible by shifting some Face ID components below the display. However, full under-display camera technology is not ready yet, so Apple is making changes slowly for now.
No major changes expected in design
Reports also suggest that Apple will not make major changes in the design this time. The bezel size may remain almost the same and the overall look will also remain the same as the previous models. According to some leaks, this small dynamic island may be limited to Pro models only.
The new A20 Pro chip can be seen in the Apple iPhone 18 Pro series, which will be based on 2nm technology. Apart from this, it is also expected to get more than 5000mAh battery and better camera upgrade.
When will it be launched?
Apple iPhone 18 Pro series including iPhone 18 Pro Max can be launched in September. Along with this, Apple’s foldable iPhone can also be introduced after some time.
Is this change necessary?
Although this change may seem small, it will improve the screen experience. Apple is gradually moving towards full-screen design, and this is considered an important step in that direction.
