The chase was spearheaded by Prabhsimran Singh (80 n.o., 39b) and Shreyas Iyer (66, 35b), who put on a partnership of 139 runs from 67 balls for the third wicket to help PBKS haul down its target of 196 with 21 balls to spare.
Earlier in the day, Quinton de Kock’s unbeaten 112 from 60 balls had helped MI post 195 for six in the first innings. De Kock — who struck eight fours and seven sixes — put on 122 from 68 balls with Naman Dhir, who completed his second IPL fifty.
Arshdeep Singh completed his 100th IPL wicket with the dismissal of Ryan Rickleton as part of an impressive bowling display of three for 22 in his four overs.
