BMW F 450 GS has been launched at ₹ 4.70 lakh.

BMW Motorrad has launched its new offering BMW F 450 GS in the Indian adventure motorcycle market at a starting price of ₹ 4.70 lakh. This motorcycle has been specifically designed for riders who were looking for a powerful option above the G 310 GS and below the larger F series. Its aggressive looks and advanced technology make it the most premium adventure bike in its segment.

BMW has designed this machine to perform well not only on urban roads but also on tough off-road terrains, making it an attractive choice among the Indian youth and avid riders traveling long distances. Let’s take a look at its design, features, safety, engine and performance details.

Design and Engine

The design of this bike takes forward the legacy of BMW’s big adventure bikes. It has new ‘X’ shaped LED DRL and a sharp front beak, which gives it a specific identity on the road. The bike has a new 420cc parallel-twin engine, which generates 48 hp power and 43 Nm torque, due to which it provides excellent traction even on rough roads. Its lightweight chassis and weight of only 178 kg makes it extremely easy to maneuver and control, whether you are climbing mountains or stuck in city traffic.

Features and Specifications

It has a large 6.5-inch TFT display, which comes with turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity. For better riding experience, it has been provided with multiple riding modes like Rain, Road and Enduro, which adjust the power delivery according to the road conditions. On the suspension front, it gets adjustable USD forks and a rear monoshock, which keeps the rider safe from shocks even on bad roads. This bike is mainly for those who want to experience the brand value of BMW along with performance.

safety detail

BMW has not made any compromise in the matter of safety. Modern safety features like Cornering ABS (ABS Pro) and Dynamic Traction Control are provided as standard in BMW F 450 GS. Apart from this, it also features switchable ABS, which gives off-roading enthusiasts the freedom to control the rear wheel as per their wish. Its finishing and build quality is much better than other bikes in the segment, which makes it stand out as a strong and premium competitor to bikes like Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure.
