Captain Rishabh Pant has struggled, scoring just 189 runs in eight matches.
Arun, however, said Pant’s struggles have nothing to do with his Rs. 27 crore price tag. “I don’t think the price tag has got to do anything with his performance,” Arun said, adding: “If you look at the second game that we played, he took us through the line (with an unbeaten 68 against SRH). And I wouldn’t be too concerned about his form. He is just one innings away from getting back his form…”
He also praised his bowlers and said he would be happy if Prince and Mohsin make the Indian team. Arun added that Mayank Yadav is ‘fit and raring to go’, but his return depends on team management.
