CSK’s Ramakrishna Ghosh out for rest of IPL 2026 with injury

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ramakrishna Ghosh has been ruled out for the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season after suffering a foot fracture, the team announced on Sunday.

“Ramakrishna Ghosh sustained a fracture to his right foot during the CSK v MI match at Chepauk. He will take no further part in IPL 2026,” CSK said in a post on social media.

Ghosh made his IPL debut on Saturday, conceding 24 runs in three overs while also picking up the important wicket of Suryakumar Yadav as CSK beat Mumbai Indians by eight wickets.

The 28-year-old was picked by CSK in the 2025 IPL auction and was retained heading into the 2026 season.

Last year, Ghosh became only the 12th player to pick seven wickets or more in a Vijay Hazare Trophy game, during his side’s match against Himachal Pradesh in Jaipur last year.

CSK is currently sixth in the points table with eight points from nine games.
