Mumbai Indians became the second team to be eliminated from IPL 2026 after losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday.
The five time champion joined Lucknow Super Giants, who crashed out to the tournament earlier today after five wicket defeat against Chennai Super Kings.
MI, after its eighth loss today, can only reach a maximum of 12 points if the team wins its remaining games, not enough to make the Playoffs.
MI, who was the pre-tournament favourite for the title and had one of the best squads on paper, has failed to translate expectations to results this season.
