2026 Honda City Facelift launched: New look, ADAS and 27kmpl mileage at ₹12 lakh

Honda Cars India has launched its popular midsize sedan 2026 Honda City Facelift. The company has made the new City more attractive with stylish exterior updates, premium interior features and better technology. Its starting ex-showroom price has been kept at only ₹ 12 lakh.

Variant options include SV (Base, ₹12 lakh), V (₹12.80 lakh) and VX (₹13.80 lakh+). The price can go up to ₹ 16-19 lakh in top variants with premium features. Hybrid (e:HEV) variant will also be available, which has the highest price. It will compete with Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia in the market, let’s take a look at its feature updates from design.

Design and interior

The 2026 Honda City Facelift has been given a sportier look. The new honeycomb grille, redesigned front bumper, sharp LED headlamps and connected LED DRLs make it modern. Clear-lens taillamps and new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels have been provided in the rear. A new factory black color option (Mafia Black) is also available, which gives a premium look to the car.

There is a lot of refreshment in the cabin. There is a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system (Elevate style), secret blue ambient lighting, new upholstery and better material quality. Ventilated front seats and Max Cool AC feature add to the comfort. Space is as roomy as before, offering the best rear seat comfort in the segment.

Features and safety

Talking about features, many new and useful features have been provided in the new City. These include 360-degree surround view camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated seats, larger touchscreen and updated connected car technology. Honda Sensing ADAS safety suite will also be available in top variants. For safety, 6 airbags, TPMS, ESP, ISOFIX child seat anchor and blind spot monitoring are provided as standard in all its variants. Safety has become stronger with the ADAS system in top models.

Engine and Mileage

Talking about the engine, the 2026 Honda City Facelift has the same 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine, which generates 121 PS power and 145 Nm torque. It will have the option of 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. Talking about mileage, it is expected to get a mileage of around 17.8 kmpl in the manual variant and 18.4 kmpl (ARAI) in the CVT. The hybrid e:HEV variant can get a mileage of up to 24-27 kmpl.
