Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has increased the prices of its two popular budget smartphones in India. According to reports, Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi 15 5G have now become costlier than before. This price hike has come at a time when recently the company had also changed the prices of some other smartphones.

According to tipster Sanju Chaudhary, the price of Redmi Note 15 5G has been increased by up to ₹ 2,000. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the phone is now available for ₹ 26,999. Whereas the new price of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model has become ₹ 29,999. The special thing is that compared to launch, this phone has now become costlier by a total of ₹ 4,000.

Not only Redmi Note 15 5G, but there has also been an increase in the prices of Redmi 15 5G. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the phone is now available for ₹ 20,499. Whereas the price of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model has become ₹ 22,499. Apart from this, the top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is now selling for ₹ 24,499.

According to reports, the new prices have also started appearing on the official website of Xiaomi. However, the company has not yet given any official reason for this price hike.

It is believed that increasing component cost and shortage of RAM at the global level could be the main reason for this. Due to the increasing demand for AI data centers, the prices of RAM and chipset have increased, the effect of which is also visible on budget smartphones.
