The total is the highest ever in the history of the tournament bettering the previous top mark of 213/5, also scored by England against Pakistan in the 2023 edition held in South Africa.
Asked to bat first, a scintillating century from Danni Wyatt-Hodge, ably supported by a fifty from Amy Jones and a quickfire unbeaten 46 from Nat Sciver-Brunt helped England post an imposing total in its campaign opener, with England looking to go deep in the tournament to capitalise on a hyped home World Cup.
