A controversial No-ball decision went against India-A during its Super Over against Sri Lanka-A in Dambulla on Monday.

After the match ended in a tie, the two teams opted for a one-over shootout to determine a result. Arshad Khan, who bowled the Super Over, bowled a full toss to Avishka Fernando that was dipping and got his wicket.

The umpires on the field adjudged Fernando to be out but the third umpire reversed the decision after a replay check. The India-A captain Tilak Varma was visibly miffed with the decision and was seen arguing with the umpires.

The game eventually had to be resumed and Sri Lanka added two runs off the additional delivery, getting its total to 18 runs.

India could only score 10 runs off Kugathas Mathulan and lost the match. To add to the late drama, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was involved in a physical skirmish with the Sri Lanka A players.
