What is the reason for price increase?
Experts believe that the global shortage of memory chips is a major reason behind this price increase. For the last few months, the prices of RAM and storage chips have been continuously increasing, due to which the cost of making smartphones has increased. To balance this additional cost, companies are increasing the prices of their products.
Although an increase of Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000 may not seem huge, it may impact the purchasing decision of customers in the mid-range and premium smartphone segments. In such a situation, if you are thinking of buying a new smartphone, it may be wise to take the decision before the prices increase further.
