Apple has officially introduced iOS 27 during its annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2026. This new operating system of the company has brought many major changes and AI based features for iPhone users. Apple claims that iOS 27 will not only be faster than before, but it will also give users a new experience through Siri AI and Apple Intelligence.

In iOS 27, Apple has further improved its Liquid Glass design. Now users will be able to adjust the transparency of the interface as per their choice. Apart from this, the company claims that after the new update, apps will open up to 30 percent faster, while photos in the Photos app will load up to 70 percent faster. AirDrop transfer speed has also been improved by 80 percent.

The biggest feature of this update is the new Siri AI. Apple has now introduced Siri as a separate app, where users can view their old conversations and start new chats. Siri AI now uses Apple’s Foundation Model and Google Gemini AI models, making it smarter and more useful than ever.

Apple Intelligence features have also been included in apps like Safari, Photos, Wallet and Shortcuts. Safari can now automatically organize tabs by topic and even notify users when prices or stock on a website change. New features like spatial reframing, extend and AI based photo editing have been provided in the Photos app.

Coordination between phone and mail
Better integration between phone and mail app will also be seen in iOS 27. With the help of Call Context feature, when calling a business, related information will be shown on the screen. Smart suggestions will also be available in Messages and Mail apps, with the help of which users will be able to instantly create reminders or save notes.

Apple has also announced that iOS 27 will be available for the iPhone 11 series and later models later this year. However, the benefit of Apple Intelligence and some advanced AI features will be available in the initial phase only to the users of iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. Overall, iOS 27 is considered to be one of Apple’s biggest AI-focused updates so far.
