The special thing is that if a user does not like this animation, he will also get the option to turn it off.
How will the new animation be?
Till now, as soon as a new message arrives on WhatsApp, it appears directly on the screen. But this will not happen after the new feature. The message bubble will first appear with a light fade-in effect and will become slightly larger and set in place. With this, the entire chat will feel smoother and better than before.
This change is certainly small, but can make the chatting experience better for the users who use WhatsApp daily.
There will also be an option to stop the animation
WhatsApp is not only adding new animation, but will also give users control over it.
On iPhone, this new option will be found in Settings > Chats > Animations section. From here users will be able to turn on or off the message animation as per their choice.
These settings will appear along with the already existing Animated Emoji, Stickers and GIF controls, making it easy to customize the app to your liking.
Testing is also happening on Android
Information about this feature was first revealed in Android beta version. Now it has also been seen in WhatsApp Beta app of iPhone. This hints that Meta may roll out this feature simultaneously on both Android and iPhone platforms in the future.
Not all users will get it yet
At present this feature is available only for some selected beta testers. WhatsApp usually tests new features with limited users first and if everything goes well, it makes them available to everyone through stable updates.
The company has not yet announced its official launch date, but with the start of testing on both the platforms, it is expected that this feature may be available to all users in the upcoming updates.
Small changes, better chatting experience
For some time now, WhatsApp has been continuously working on small interface changes. The new Animated Message Bubbles feature is also considered to be a step in the same direction, where emphasis is being laid on making the app more smooth and user-friendly.
