Iran-US war LIVE: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and his US counterpart Donald Trump held a telephonic conversation to discuss the recently signed Washington-brokered framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel.

In a post on X, the Lebanese President said that during the call, Trump congratulated Aoun on the signing of the agreement, describing it as a vital step toward restoring security and stability in the region.”President General Joseph Aoun received a phone call last night from U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he congratulated him on signing the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel under the auspices of the United States of America, affirming his country’s support for Lebanon and the Lebanese people, and working to provide everything necessary to implement the agreement’s provisions to restore security and stability to Lebanon,” he wrote.

The US leader reaffirmed his administration’s steadfast support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the extension of state authority across all Lebanese lands through its national armed forces.

Iran-US war LIVE: The Israeli military said Sunday it killed several “armed terrorists” a day earlier in southern Syria.

“Yesterday (Saturday), IDF soldiers eliminated several armed terrorists in the Security Zone in southern Syria,” it said in a statement.

The Israeli army has occupied what it calls a “security zone” in southern Syria since late 2024 and said it would remain in place there “in order to remove any threat to Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers”.

Israeli defence minister Israel Katz said earlier this month that it planned to keep its troops in Syria “for an unlimited period”, as well as in Lebanon and Gaza.

Iran-US war LIVE: Bahrain’s air defences intercepted Iranian missiles and drones on Sunday, the Gulf kingdom’s military said, after the US carried out new strikes against Iran.

The Bahraini military said it had “intercepted and destroyed a number of projectiles used in these treacherous Iranian attacks”, adding that it was on “maximum alert”.

Iran announced earlier that it had launched strikes against the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain and another base in Kuwait, in retaliation for US strikes on its territory.

Iran-US war LIVE: Reiterating its control over the Strait of Hormuz, Iran said that ‘indiscriminate strikes’ by the US on Sirik ‘do not solve the mystery of its dominance over Hormuz.’

Iran-US war LIVE: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Sunday claimed it had destroyed eight US military infrastructures in Kuwait and Bahrain in a joint missile and drone operation, describing the strikes as retaliation for a second wave of US military attacks on Iranian targets.

In a statement carried by Iranian state media, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), the IRGC’s Public Relations department said its naval and aerospace forces launched ballistic missiles and drones between 2:00 am and 3:00 am local time, targeting the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the US Fifth Fleet headquarters at Port Salman in Bahrain.

The IRGC said the operation was a “decisive response” to what it described as recent US aggression.

“Your zealous sons in the IRGC’s naval and air forces, during a joint missile and drone operation at 2-3 am today, Sunday, July 27, destroyed eight important infrastructures of the child-killing US army at the Ali al-Salem base in Kuwait and the Fifth Naval Fleet in Port Salman, Bahrain, by launching ballistic missiles and drones at them and decisively responded to the recent US aggression,” the statement said.

Iran-US war LIVE: Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard on Sunday said it had carried out overnight attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait and threatened a “complete halt” could come to talks with the US if America continues its attacks.

The Guard statement, carried by the state-run IRAN newspaper, represented the sharpest threat yet to talks over the interim deal struck between Iran and the US That created a 60-day window for the two countries to negotiate a permanent end to the war.

The Guard said it attacked the US Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, as well as Al Asad Air Base in Kuwait.

“Let the enemy know that violating the ceasefire … will lead to a complete halt of ongoing processes,” the Guard added.

Iran-US war LIVE: Iran said on Sunday that U.S. airstrikes targeted several monitoring and surveillance facilities on Iran’s southern coast, calling the attacks a violation of an interim deal meant to end the four-month-old war between the two countries.

The threat came after US forces said they struck “multiple” Iranian targets Saturday in another tit-for-tat response to attacks on shipping in the vital Strait of Hormuz.

“United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!” Trump wrote.

Iran-US war LIVE: Since signing a 60-day truce last week, US President Donald Trump has said that he would resume military action against Iran if it violates the agreement’s terms, which provide for the flow of vessels through the vital strait and talks over its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

The two sides continue to clash over key provisions of the deal, including whether Iran will impose tolls or other monetary costs on ships seeking to sail through Hormuz. Oman told European officials that vessels may ultimately have to be charged some fees, Bloomberg reported earlier.
