Hero MotoCorp has launched a new Disc variant of its popular commuter bike Hero Passion+. Its ex-showroom price in Delhi has been fixed at ₹ 84,128. The biggest update in the new bike is the addition of front disc brake, which will give better braking performance. Apart from this, updates have also been given in design, graphics and some modern features. This variant will prove to be especially useful for those riders who want safety, style and features in everyday commuting.

Hero Passion+ is already known as an affordable and reliable commuter. The new Disc model will make it more attractive. The company claims that this bike comes with fuel efficiency, easy handling and low maintenance. With new colors and digital console, it will also attract young riders. Design

Hero Passion+ Disc has been given a refreshed look. It has new graphics and four attractive dual-tone color options. Heavy Grey, Nexus Blue, Dark Industrial Gray and Pearl Red. The overall design of the bike gives a modern touch while maintaining the classic commuter style. LED projector headlamp adds both style and visibility.

Features

Many modern features have been added to the new bike. The most important is the fully digital instrument console, which supports Bluetooth connectivity. This includes functions like call and SMS alerts, real-time mileage, trip information, service reminder and low fuel indicator. Other features include side-stand engine cut-off, USB charging port and utility storage case. These features make daily riding more convenient and safe. Hero Passion+ Disc has a better braking system than the standard Passion+. Disc brakes are provided in the front.

Engine and Performance

There has been no change in the powertrain. The bike has a 97.2 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which generates 8.02 bhp power at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm. Hero claims that it gives a mileage of up to 71 kmpl, which is the best in this segment. The engine is smooth and perfect for low speed city commuting. The top speed is expected to be around 85 kmph.
