According to the report of Counterpoint Research, Apple’s production expenses are increasing due to memory chips, new 2nm processor and camera upgrades. In such a situation, the company can recover some part of this additional cost from the customers.

Memory and 2nm chip will increase the cost

According to the report, this time there is a rise in the prices of NAND flash storage and DRAM memory. Due to shortage of supply in the semiconductor industry, these chips have become more expensive than before.

Apart from this, it is also expected to use Apple’s new 2nm processor. This chip will be more advanced than before, but the cost of making it will also be very high. Besides, its packaging technology is also considered expensive.

Camera will also be better than before

The report claims that a new primary camera with variable aperture can be found in iPhone 18 Pro Max. This will also increase the manufacturing cost of the camera. Counterpoint Research estimates that Apple may increase the price of some models by up to $ 200 (about Rs 17,000). The maximum impact can be seen on the 1TB storage variant.

After adding import duty, taxes and other charges in India, the price increase may be even higher. This means that Indian customers may have to pay higher prices than the global market.
