On Saturday, Day 2 of the match, Indian pacer Kranti Gaud created history by becoming the first-ever woman to take a five-wicket haul in an innings at the venue.
As per tradition, players who have scored a century, taken five wickets in an innings, or taken 10 wickets in a match, either in Tests of ODIs, will have their name engraved on that prestigious board.
There are two honours boards at Lord’s pavilion: one is present at the home dressing room where England players, or those representing the Marylebone Cricket Club, will have their names on it, while the other is present at the away dressing room where visiting players’ names will get honoured.
As per the commentators during the day’s play, there isn’t a separate honours board for women cricketers. This means Kranti’s name will likely be added to the away dressing room’s board.
