AI camera, 144Hz display and 6500mAh battery, Tecno’s new phone can rock on July 17, special features revealed

Techno is going to add a new phone to its Camon 50 series in the Indian market. The company has officially confirmed that Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G will be launched in India on July 17 at 12 noon. Before the launch, the company has also teased many key features of the phone. This smartphone will especially focus on camera, AI features and premium design. Its microsite has also gone live on Amazon, which makes it clear that after the launch, it will be sold through the e-commerce platform.

Techno Camon 50 Ultra 5G will be offered in three color options like Cypress Green, Misty Purple and Nebula Titanium. The phone will have flat frame design, rounded corners and triple camera setup at the back.

According to the company, many AI based camera features will be provided in the phone. These will include tools like improving the quality of photos and removing unwanted objects from photos. Also, the company claims that despite the slim design of the phone, its battery will last the whole day.

Based on the global variant, Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G is expected to have a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, which will come with 144Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i can be provided to protect the screen.

There is a possibility of getting MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor in the phone. With this, you can get up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage and Android 16 based HiOS 16.

For photography, the phone is expected to have 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary camera, 50MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom) and 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 13MP front camera can be provided for selfie and video calling. The phone will also support 4K video recording.

Talking about battery, it can get 45W fast charging with 6500mAh battery. Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G is also expected to have features like IP68, IP69 and IP69K rating, MIL-STD-810 military-grade durability, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C and 5G connectivity.

It is being said that the company will launch this phone in the budget range, due to which it is possible that the new phone will give tough competition to the already existing budget segment of Redmi, Realme, Motorola.
