IND vs ZIM: Is Ben Curran of Zimbabwe related to England player Sam Curran?

Ben Curran made his debut for Zimbabwe during the side’s first T20I against India in Harare on Thursday.

The 30-year-old, who bats left-handed, is the brother of Sam and Tom Curran, who play for England. Ben followed the footsteps of his father Kevin Curran, who represented Zimbabwe in international cricket.

Kevin played 11 ODIs for Zimbabwe and represented the nation at the 1983 World Cup.

Ben, an opening batter, had already played nine Tests and 11 ODIs for the African nation, with both caps coming in 2024. He started his career in England like his two brothers, but decided to make the switch to Zimbabwe in 2022 after a lack of chances.

On his debut, Ben scored 10 runs off eight balls and was nabbed by Prince Yadav in the PowerPlay.
