Indians in County Cricket — Kuldeep continues good run with Ben Stokes’ wicket, Ashutosh picks fifer for Hampshire

Kuldeep Yadav continued his wicket-taking spree in the One-Day Cup, England’s List A tournament, on Friday as he picked two more wickets for Yorkshire against Durham.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Durham could only post 165 runs on the board. Kuldeep picked the wickets of Ben Stokes and Colin Ackermann. He finished with figures of two for 23 from 10 overs and also bowled a maiden. Yorkshire eventually won the game comfortably by seven wickets.

The left-arm orthodox bowler has now played four games in the tournament and has eight wickets to show for his effort.

Elsewhere, Ashutosh Sharma had a memorable outing for Hampshire, as he picked his maiden List A five-wicket haul against Essex.

The medium pacer returned five for 51 from his 10 overs even as Essex mounted a towering score of 317. Ashutosh could not impress with the bat, though, as he scored just 16 off 23 balls.

Hampshire got to the target in the 48th over with three wickets in hand.

The third Indian, Yuzvendra Chahal, was on the losing side. He picked one for 28 for Northamptonshire but could get the team to defend its 246-run total.
