Akshay Kumar is stepping into a darker territory with Haiwaan, where he plays a psychopathic killer. During an appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati, the actor opened up about preparing for the challenging role and revealed how his friends in the police force helped him understand the mindset of his character.
Clarifying the character dynamics to Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay said, “Sir, I am the villain of the film and Saif is the hero and Sir mera kirdaar (my role) is of a psychopath and there is a history behind it and how I turn into it and what all I go through and then the film follows ahead.”
When Bachchan asked about his preparation for the antagonist, Akshay explained that real-life insights from his friends in law enforcement, along with guidance from director Priyadarshan, helped shape his portrayal of the character.
