Enaan’s rise to the World Cup team came after a splendid 74-ball unbeaten 105 (12×4, 6×6) while batting at No. 8 for India A against India B in the tri-series in Bengaluru last month.
The rapid knock raised his stocks further after a decent spell with the ball.

Though his leg spin bowling lacked bite at the start of the season, it improved eventually as he took two five-wicket hauls in the Cooch Behar Trophy.
The outcome: a dream come true for the youngster.
“It was my dream to be part of the Indian squad for the World Cup, and I am happy I could realise it. Now, after being selected, I have to make it count,” Enaan said.

“Yes, the century against India B was an important one and came at the right time. I admit my form this season wasn’t great, but I was bowling a lot better towards the end of the Cooch Behar campaign. I will carry that confidence into the World Cup.”
“When I had setbacks, I went back to the drawing board, watched a lot of my old videos and corrected the mistakes. I always stick to the basics and try bowl according to the match situation. I think my quick arm action puzzles a few batters, and that is my strength,” he added.
