Hyderabad opener Aman Rao smashes double hundred in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26

Hyderabad opener Aman Rao smashed a double hundred in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Bengal at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Tuesday.

Aman got to his 200 off the 154th delivery he faced, which was also the last ball of the first innings. He cracked 12 fours and 13 sixes as he carried his bat.

The 21-year-old’s effort is the highest score by a Hyderabad batter in List A cricket and is also the ninth double hundred in Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Aman’s knock powered Hyderabad to post 352/5 in its essay after it was inserted by Bengal.

This was Aman’s first hundred in senior cricket. He was picked by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 30 lakh in the IPL 2026 auction.
