Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of Border 2, one of his most ambitious big-screen spectacles. Ahead of the film’s release, the actor held #Varunsays on X (formerly Twitter) and shared interesting insights into his role, the film, and the challenges her overcame while shooting the film.

While sharing insights of his preparation, the actor revealed he injured his tailbone while shooting the battle of Basantar. “Bahut prepare karna tha. I infact injured my tail bone while shooting the battle of Basantar. I shot 40 days in Babina for that with real soldiers,” he shared.

Varun will be seen stepping into the shoes of Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya PVC, who led his troops with unflinching courage during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, and was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his heroism. The films seen Varun Dhawan alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, among others. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
