Hero MotoCorp’s Vida launches Dirt.E K3, an e-bike that grows with riders aged 4–10


VIDA, the electric mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp, on Friday, introduced the DIRT.E K3, an electric motorcycle designed for children aged 4–10 years. The introductory price is 69,990 for the first 300 units.Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman at Hero MotoCorp, said, “When we created VIDA, our purpose was to reimagine the Future of Mobility for a new generation—mobility that is clean, connected and deeply conscious.”
He added that DIRT.E K3 allows young riders to begin motorcycling in a way that supports ongoing learning, stating, “The product grows with them.” The DIRT.E K3 will be sold in Red, Purple, and White. Initial deliveries will be available in Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur, and Calicut.
The DIRT.E K3 uses a three-stage adjustable system that shifts between Small, Medium, and Large configurations with one tool. Seat height ranges from 454 mm to 631 mm, and the chassis allows adjustments to wheelbase, handlebar height, and ride height. The motorcycle weighs 22 kg.

The kids’ electric bike gets its juices from a 350W continuous/500W peak motor and a 360Wh removable lithium-ion battery. The battery charges from 0–100% in about three hours and can provide up to three hours of riding time, depending on terrain and mode.

Three ride modes—Beginner at 8 km/h, Amateur at 16 km/h, and Pro at 25 km/h—support progressive learning. The product also references Low, Mid, and High modes with similar staged limits.The company also said that the parents can control speed settings, lock modes, adjust acceleration, and track ride data through a connected smartphone app.

Key components include a 16-inch spoked wheel, a single rear hydraulic disc brake, and an adjustable frame that changes height and wheelbase across the three size stages.

Safety elements include an over-molded wiring harness, a child-scaled brake lever, impact-absorbing parts, and a magnetic lanyard kill switch that cuts power if the rider becomes separated.

Additional features include removable footpegs, a handlebar chest pad, and a rear motor cover. Optional accessories include a front brake, larger wheels, rear suspension, larger front suspension, and road-spec tyres.

The motorcycle was conceptualised, designed, and developed at Hero Tech Centre Germany and the Centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur. Production will take place at the VIDA electric vehicle line in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

The sales for the Vida DIRT.E K3 will begin on January 15, 2026. The model was first shown at EICMA 2025 and has received a Red Dot Design Award for 2025. It has also been named a CES Innovation Award Honoree for 2026.
