National startup day: PM Modi lauds innovation as Startup India Turns 10

In a series of posts on X (previously Twitter), PM Modi celebrated the courage, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of India’s youth who have driven the country’s rise in the global startup landscape.
“Startups are engines of change that are shaping the future of our economy and society,” he wrote. “I am proud of each and every person who dared to dream big, challenged conventional norms, took risks and created a transformative impact through their startups.”
The PM highlighted that government reforms have created a conducive environment for startups to venture into previously unthinkable sectors including space and defense. He emphasised that startups are playing a pivotal role in building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Quoting a sanskrit verse, PM Modi praised the determination of India’s young entrepreneurs, stating their energy and passion will be crucial in realising the vision of a Viksit Bharat or developed India.
“This is also a day to acknowledge the ecosystem of mentors, incubators, investors, academic institutions and others who support startups. Their support and insights go a long way in encouraging our youth as they innovate and contribute to growth,” he said.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting youth who want to become problem solvers and risk-takers.
