IND vs NZ: KL Rahul scores century during India’s second ODI against New Zealand

KL Rahul notched up a 87-ball hundred during India’s second ODI match against New Zealand in Rajkot on Wednesday at the Niranjan Shah stadium.

This was the Karnataka wicketkeeper-batter’s eighth century in the 50-over format. Overall, this was his 21st ton in international cricket (11 in Tests, 8 in ODIs, 2 in T20Is).

Rahul notched up his century with a six over mid on off Kyle Jamieson in the penultimate over.

The 33-year-old was instrumental in guiding the Men in Blue to a competitive total after the host found itself in a spot of trouble at 118 for four in 23.3 overs.

He finished the innings with a boundary, taking India to 284 for seven, as he remained unbeaten on 112 off 92 balls, a knock which included 11 fours and a solitary six.
