Virat Hindu Sammelan in Yadgir today

Around 5,000 people are expected to participate in the Virat Hindu Sammelan being organized by the Hindu Sammelan Ayojana Samiti at Vanikeri Layout in Yadgir on Saturday, according to president of the sammelan Rajshekhar Bapure.

Addressing a press conference in Yadgir on Friday, Mr. Bapure said that a Shobha Yatre will be taken out at 2.30 p.m. from the Hanuman Temple at Mailapur Base in the city after the seer of the Vishwakarma Ekadandigi Mutt performs Go Puja (puja to cow).

Portraits of great personalities belonging to the Hindu community will be carried during the grand procession which will cross Vai Shivaji Circle, Gandhi Circle, Veerashaiva Kalyan Mantap, Babu Jagjivan Ram Circle, Kanaka Circle and Balaji Temple to reach Vanikeri Layout, he said.

At 5.30 p.m., the Virat Hindu Sammelan will begin, wherein seers of various mutts will pay floral tributes to Bharat Mata, Mr. Bapure said.

Venkayya Shetty, Akash Beeranur, Sabu Chandriki, Mallu Kolivad, Suresh Ambiger, Tulsidas Patange, Amaresh Anasugur, Shivakumar Sukulur, Ashwin, Jeetendra, Ramesh Pujari, Mahesh Kumar and Shivu were present at the press conference.
