Man held with 41.5 kg of suspected ganja

The anti-narcotics squad on Friday (February 6) arrested an Omassery native during a flash inspection in Kozhikode district and seized 41.5 kg of suspected ganja from his possession.

The accused, P.V. Jamsheer, 32, was detained when he reached the city with the suspected ganja. The police said he was part of a drug supply chain in the Malabar region and had purchased the ganja from Odisha. He had been working abroad for over eight years.
