It was a decent Monday for O’Romeo as Rs. 4.25 crores came in. Friday collections were Rs. 7.75 crores, so this is a drop of less than 50%. For comparison, Shahid Kapoor’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya had dropped from Rs. 7.02 crores on Monday to Rs. 3.25 crores on Friday and despite more than 50% fall, it had still managed to keep going good for weeks in a row to end with Rs. 80.88 crores. Here, O’ Romeo is better both from numbers and drop perspective, and the makers would be hoping for a similar run.

Today, there is Blockbuster Tuesday offer for the film which means the collections will soar again. Around Rs. 5-5.50 crores are expected to come in, and that mid-week push will help it. Such sort of offers work for select films in a particular kind of run and as long as it’s an exception instead of a rule, it works better for the audiences. With the kind of run that this Vishal Bhardwaj film is having, this kind of offer provides stability to take it past the first week and enable word of mouth generation; and that’s what’s required for it to have a decent run.

So far, the film has collected Rs. 32.50 crores and today it should come close to Rs. 40 crores. Post Thursday, the second weekend will decide its lifetime run. Since there aren’t many biggies till the arrival of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups on March 19, O’ Romeo has a month ahead of it to keep adding moolah.
