Market Entry: Nissan Gravite launched at ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom) in India as a subcompact three-row MPV, with bookings open and an introductory price for early customers and first units. Offered in multiple variants across five trims, it expands Nissan’s lineup beyond Magnite and targets the segment led by Renault Triber, on whose CMF-A+ platform it is based as a badge-engineered sibling.

Design Changes: Though sharing dimensions and underpinnings with Triber, Gravite adopts Nissan styling with a gloss black or V-Motion grille, honeycomb mesh, revised bumpers with silver C-shaped inserts, split LED DRLs, smoked lamps, chrome tailgate garnish, skid plates, roof rails, wheel arch cladding, bonnet and tailgate lettering, new wheel covers, and colour options including Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Storm White and Metallic Grey.

Cabin Layout: The MPV has a two-tone interior with a modular 2+3+2 seating layout for up to seven occupants, sliding and reclining second row, removable third row, and flexible luggage space from 84 litres to 625 litres. It features a three-spoke steering wheel, digital cluster, touchscreen infotainment, multiple storage areas, wide-opening doors, and three-row air-conditioning with rear vents and controls.

Feature List: Equipment includes an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital instrument display, automatic climate control, push-button start, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, parking sensors, rear camera, wireless charger, cooled glovebox, USB ports, steering controls, walk-away lock, approach unlock, and optional 360-degree camera, dashcam, JBL audio, ambient lighting, and air purifier on the Launch Edition.

Safety Package: Safety provisions include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, brake assist, tyre-pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX mounts, seatbelt reminders, speed alerts, rear parking sensors, and stability programs. Nissan states over 30 standard safety features, positioning safety as a core value point for family buyers in the budget MPV segment.

Powertrain Details: Gravite uses a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine producing about 71–72 bhp and 96 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. Claimed fuel efficiency is about 19.3 km/l for manual and 19.6 km/l for AMT. A dealer-fit CNG kit will be offered later, limited to the manual variant.

Variant Lineup: Variants include Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna, and a limited Launch Edition, with both MT and AMT choices in higher trims. Prices range roughly from ₹5.65 lakh to ₹8.93 lakh. The entry Visia gets essential features and safety, while successive trims add infotainment, connectivity, comfort equipment, LED lighting, alloy-style wheels, sensors, and convenience technologies.

Launch Edition: A limited-run Launch Edition based on the Tekna trim, restricted to a small batch of early buyers, adds JBL speakers, dual dashcam, ambient lighting, air purifier, cushions, body graphics, and styling accents. It is positioned as the most feature-rich version, celebrating the model’s debut while retaining the same engine and transmission choices.

Ownership Terms: Nissan offers a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, extendable up to ten years with higher kilometre coverage. Early bookings may receive zero service costs for a fixed period plus financing and upgrade benefits. The vehicle is manufactured locally at the Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Chennai for domestic sale and export.

Segment Position: Entering the sub-4-metre MPV space, Gravite competes directly with Renault Triber and undercuts larger MPVs such as Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion on price.
