Actor Rajeev Khandelwal is stepping into the courtroom with Amar Vishwas, a new legal drama that is now streaming for free on Amazon MX Player. Set against the backdrop of power, crime and justice, the series follows a sharp legal mind navigating a high-stakes case where every revelation carries consequences beyond the courtroom.

Rajeev Khandelwal opens up about playing Amar Vishwas: “He wants to change the system while being inside it”In the show, Rajeev essays the titular character, a lawyer who takes on complex cases while grappling with his own moral compass. Speaking about the process of shaping the role, the actor shared, “I went with the flow. We had discussed the character in length in our pre-shoot readings. Amar Vishwas was born in those meetings and now lives in the series. I sat down with eminent lawyers to understand some basic dos and don’ts of the courtroom and the legal world. The restraint that you see in him is actually his effort to not let his pent-up emotions come to the surface.”

The series blends courtroom drama with investigative elements, exploring the tension between personal ethics and systemic constraints. Elaborating on the core of his character, Rajeev added, “Amar is a rebel of sorts. And that is why he takes mostly pro bono cases. He had seen enough in his growing-up years that now he wants to change the system while being inside it. And when anyone does that, he or she is bound to face challenges and hurdles. So does Amar Vishwas. How he deals with those hurdles is what makes him Amar Vishwas.”

Based on the popular novels by Suhas Shirvalkar, the series has been created and produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik D Nishandar under the banner of GSEAMS. Alongside Rajeev Khandelwal, the ensemble cast includes Ravi Behl, Aamir Ali, and Barkha Bisht in key roles.

With its focus on layered storytelling and intense courtroom confrontations, Amar Vishwas positions itself as a drama that examines how far one individual can go to uphold justice within an imperfect system. The series is currently available to stream exclusively on Amazon MX Player.
