The Seltos entered the market with petrol and diesel powertrains, automatic options across fuel types, and a feature-rich cabin with large infotainment and connected car technology.
Safety and technology updates, including advanced driver assistance systems, expanded connectivity and a broader safety package, supported demand.Top variants account for 29% of sales, indicating rising preference for higher safety, comfort and digital features, while entry and mid variants continue to see demand.
According to the company, the model offered features associated with higher segments, attracting buyers upgrading from hatchbacks, sedans and compact SUVs. Its wide variant mix targeted both value-focused and feature-focused customers.
“Crossing 6 lakh sales reflects sustained customer preference for a product that delivers strong fundamentals in design, safety, technology and performance,” said Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India.
The new-generation Seltos builds on the existing model with updated design, safety and technology. It measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and has a 2,690 mm wheelbase.
The update adds a larger digital interface, an upgraded ADAS suite, enhanced safety architecture and improvements in cabin refinement while retaining multiple powertrain and transmission options.
